Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Jogi’ Shoots up in Netflix India Trends!

Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Jogi‘ released on Netflix India last friday, i.e on 16th September to mixed reviews. Feature film come-back of Ali Abbas Zafar after the 2019 Salman Khan starrer ‘Bharat’, Jogi had all eyes on it mainly for its central plot and the cast and crew.

There wasn’t any sort of manufactured hype associated with the film, but looking at its reception on Netflix it seems like the film has hit the right note in sparking a conversation. Hardly three days after its release, Jogi has shot up to number #1 position in the Netflix India Top 10 Movies list overthrowing the previous chart topper ‘Ek Villain Returns’. Now this sort of reception for a hindi language Film is not unseen or unheard of, but its still an indication of the fact that people are interested in the film given how relevant and dark hitting its premise is. What is yet to be seen is how long the film will remain on top and how much viewership will it garner over time. For now, the beginning has been good enough.

Based on the 1984 anti-sikh riots and ex PM Indira Gandhi assassination, Jogi is more an evacuation drama that revolves around Jogi and his friends with an exceptional Diljit Dosanjh and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub at the forefront. Despite mixed reviews, Jogi remains a film that needs to be seen and the numbers don’t lie. The film stars Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role alongside Kumud Mishra, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Hiten Tejwani and Amyra Dastur in major roles. Head straight to watch Jogi on Netflix now. Stay tuned for more updates.
