Karan Johar in the past few years has been producing and directing some of the most amazing movies. His production company has gone out of their comfort zone of “romantic movies” and is bringing in some brilliant movies for the audience and fans. But there’s always one thing that Karan Johar does best and that without doubt has to be the romantic movies.
Well, the dynamic director and producer is all set for his next love story and this time, he has Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh onboard for the same. This movie, will also mark the debut for another star child not in front of the camera, but behind it. Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh now is all set to join Karan Johar as the Assistant Director for the movie.
As for the movie, which is untitled at the moment will be a simple and fun love story between Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. While Ranveer plays the cool, rugged dude, Alia will be seen essaying a more subtle role as compared to Ranveer Singh. The movie will not associate any social messages with it, and is touted to be a romantic comedy.
Bollywood of late has been offering some groundbreaking movies and everyone has loved them. With all these, there has finally been something, other than the romance to look forward to in a movie. Every movie now either needs to have a social message or a brilliant story line to make it a hit. Karan Johar bringing a plain and simple love story on screens once again looks good for a change.
Right now, the movie is in the earliest stage of development and if everything works out well, the shoot for the movie might start post summer. Karan Johar, who is known to make things grand in all his movies, is also looking for a grand ensemble cast to join Alia and Ranveer in the movie.
This will be the second time Ranveer and Alia will come together. The first time they were seen in Zoya Akhtar’s superhit “Gully Boy”. Other than that, they are constantly seen together in ads and is one of the most adored on screen pairing.
As for launching Ibrahim, Johar has mentioned that he won’t be doing that for a while because he believes he still has time and Ibrahim for now wants to complete his studies like his sister Sara Ali Khan did. He for the time being wants to see how things are in sets and hence have joined the team as Assistant Director.
