Diehard OTT enthusiasts might already be aware that streaming giant Netflix had launched a website that features weekly top ten lists based on the metrics of the total number of hours viewed for a particular title. The portal provides viewership data under four categories namely ‘Films (English)’, ‘Films (Non-English)’, ‘TV (English)’, and ‘TV (Non-English)’.
The South Korean zombie-horror series ‘All of Us Are Dead’, which started streaming last Friday on Netflix, has continued its terrific form on the streaming portal. As per the latest weekly viewing hours stats, ‘All of Us Are Dead’ has topped the Netflix global top ten list for the non-English TV shows category, and that too by a huge margin.
The show was watched for an astounding 124.79 million hours during the last week, more precisely from 24th January to 30th January 2022. The second most-watched non-English language show is the Colombian series ‘Café con Aroma de Mujer’ which boasts 82.75 million hours, thereby lagging behind the South Korean show by a substantial 42 million hours.
Moreover, the well-executed Indian psychological thriller show ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’ starring Vikrant Massey and Shweta Tripathi had made its way to the Netflix global top ten shows list the previous week. However, the show is conspicuous by its absence on this week’s Netflix global list. Having said that, ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’ is still there on Netflix India’s top ten list but is behind ‘All of Us Are Dead’.
Based on the webtoon ‘Now at Our School’, ‘All of Us Are Dead’ is a South Korean show where high school students are forced to fight a zombie outbreak in a battle for survival, in order to avoid becoming the infected creatures themselves. Killing or getting killed are the only two options left for them.
