All We Imagine As Light is emerging as the pride of Indian cinema. Payal Kapadia is an enchantress and looks like she has enchanted the world with her powerful storytelling throughout the film. All We Imagine As Light started gaining recognition last year at the Cannes Film Festival and since then, it has only got better. Yes, it couldn’t manage to bring home a Golden Globes but that’s fine. Getting nominated was a feat big enough.
Now there is another award to talk about. The BAFTA Nominations took place today and yes, All We Imagine As Light was nominated today.
In the category called “Films Not In The English Language”, All We Imagine As Light has been nominated.
The other nominees in the category are “Emilia Perez”, “I’m Still Here”, “Kneecap” and “The Seed of the Sacred Fig”.
These are all great signs because it may help the film push even harder in the nominations for the Oscars. The campaigning just got a lot easier for them but all eyes on the 23rd.
Let’s wait to see what awards Payal Kapadia brings home after this. It will also be interesting to see her next movie after All We Imagine As Light.
