Telugu star Rana Daggubati has acquired the theatrical rights for ‘All We Imagine As Light’. His banner Spirit Media will be distributing the film in India.
‘All We Imagine As Light’ is directed by filmmaker Payal Kapadia and stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and more. The movie is getting a wide release in the USA and in France along with India. This is the first independent film from India to have such a wide distribution. And the credit goes to the historic win in the Cannes Film Festival. It was the first Indian film to compete in the main competition since 1994 and was awarded with the prestigious Grand Prix in 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Critics and people from the film fraternity have showered praises for the movie and audiences are waiting eagerly to experience it on big screens.
‘All We Imagine As Light’ tells the story of simple pleasures of two simple women in the big city of Mumbai. Prabha gets a strange gift from her divorced husband one day, and her roommate Anu is looking for a place where she can be comfortable with her lover. These two women navigate through Mumbai and its various faces throughout the film. As for Rana Daggubati, he has previously distributed films like ‘35-Chinna Katha Kaadu’, ‘Charlie777’, ‘C/o Kancharapalem’, ‘Bommalata’ etc. The release date and other details will be revealed later on.
