Poison 2 is all set to return on Zee5 on October 16 and this revenge crime-thriller looks quite intriguing. While Poison season 1 marked the digital début of Arbaaz Khan this new season will be the first web venture for Aftab Shivdasani and Raai Laxmi. Poison 2 has been directed by Vishal Pandya (Hate Story 2, 3 & 4 and Wajah Tum Ho) and produced by Panorama Entertainmanet & Bombay Media Works.
Zee5’s Poison 2 has an ensemble cast of Aftab Shivdasani (Awara Paagal Deewana, Hungama, Masti), Raai Laxmi (Kanchana, Mankatha), Pooja Chopra (Fashion, Commando), Rahul Dev (Dus, Asoka) Vin Rana (TV shows – Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya) and Zain Imam (TV shows – Tashan-E-Ishq, Naamkarann) among others.
Created by Vinayak Jain and Amit K Bhargava and written by Rehan Khan, Poison 2 on Zee5 is set in Goa and revolves around a business group ‘Josh’ who are interested in obtaining control of a derby race course. But their plans are foiled by a powerful enemy who wants revenge from them and is out there to stop the deal from happening.
Don’t worry you can watch Poison 2 even if you didn’t catch the first season on Zee5. Its a fresh story with the same theme of revenge and power. While last time the focus was on drugs this time it’s a derby racecourse. This gripping new story, will show how money can buy people’s loyalty and love in exchange of power over others.
The cast looks promising with a mixed bag of talented and popular stars from both the film and TV industry. From the look of it, Poison 2 looks all classy and rich. The style quotient is definitely going to be high this time, with all these stars setting some serious high standards.
Also, certain characters from the first season of Poison – Rani (Saakshi Pradhan), Pawan (Gaurav Sharma), Nandu (Faisal Rashid), Tony Luke (Taher Shabbir) will reprise their roles in season 2 of the Zee5 series.
