Allu Arjun Points Out The Bollywood Disease! But What’s the Cure?

The debate about the so-called reach of Hindi and South Indian cinema does not seem to stop. The people are just preferring the kind of movie that appeals to them but there seems to be an unnecessary clash on social media, and it may very well be totally irrelevant on the real ground.

But irrespective of the clashing realities of social media and real life, there can not be any doubt that Bollywood is suffering from a severe problem that is not driving people crazy. Quite contradictory is the fact that it is driving the people inside the industry crazy. It includes the golden-collared people like the producers as well as the blue-collared people like the light men and those who work as staff in the cinemas. Everyone who is involved in making to the facilitation of the films to the end audience.

Recently, prominent producer Nikkhil Advani pointed out his conversation with Allu Arjun. The Telugu star stated that Bollywood has forgotten “how to be heroes”. He pointed out that even in a film based on the subject of “Water Irrigation”, there can be a heroic treatment which the audience is certain to like.

It is true at so many levels. Once in a while, it is great to make films like “Three of Us” or “Gehraiyaan”. But, we need movies like Gadar or Pathaan for the HEALTH of the industry. If the industry is healthy then it can bear the losses of great films that are not commercially viable.

Bollywood needs heroes so that we can celebrate realistic characters who are flawed.
