Allu Arjun’s much awaited ‘Pushpa – The Rise’ will be coming out this Christmas. And the preparations for its early promotion have already begun with the announcement of its first single release on 13th August, 2021.
On the other hand, there is another highly anticipated film ’KGF Chapter 2’ starring Yash in the lead. But surprisingly the film that was scheduled to release on 16th July itself has no official update as of now. The makers have neither said anything about its new release date nor is there any word on a song release or a character intro teaser or anything else for that matter.
But update or no update nothing can keep ardent fans from supporting their favourite stars and movies. And that is why despite being in the cordial stage as of now, a fan war is slowly but steadily stirring up ever since Pushpa’s release date reveal. That is so because it is around the same time that KGF Chapter 2 is expected.
While Allu Arjun enjoys a massive fan following on social media (5.9 M on Twitter, 12.5 M on Instagram, 21 M on Facebook) from quite a time now, Yash (737.2 k on Twitter, 4.9 M on Instagram, 7.9 M on Facebook) started gaining popularity majorly after ‘KGF Chapter 1’ came out and made him a countrywide star.
The difference lies in the fact that Allu Arjun’s fans are mostly limited to southern states especially Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala whereas Yash’s vantage point is that he is now a national star with a pan India blockbuster to his credit.
With ‘Pushpa’ going for a multi-lingual release Allu Arjun too will be aiming for that nationwide stardom and success similar to what Prabhas got post ‘Baahubali’ and Yash tasted after ‘KGF Chapter 1’ in recent times.
Meanwhile, netizens indulging themselves in online fan wars is a win-win situation for both as it’s helping both the films, their cast and crew in keeping up the hype.
