Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Makes a New Box Office Record in the US

Allu Arjun’s latest action drama, Pushpa: The Rise, is on a roll upon its worldwide theatrical release. The movie has already broken several box office records within its first week of dispatch. It collected more than 70 crores on Day 1, making it the first Indian film to do so this year. Now, it stands with a staggering collection of more than 200 crores globally.

Amidst the sea of records, Pushpa has made a new achievement. It has become the first-ever South Indian movie to collect more than $2 million in the United States this year. It is an important milestone for the South Indian movie industry, considering the ongoing COVID pandemic. The present condition in the US is far much worse than in India. Only a limited number of theatres of operational there at these times.

Pushpa’s story takes its inspiration from the illegal smuggling of red sanders in Andhra Pradesh. The leading man is playing a coolie, hiding large stocks of red sanders from the cops and carrying them to safe places.

Allu Arjun’s newest outcome has a humongous budget of 250 crores. It is not clear whether it will become a profit in future or not. Additionally, it will face tough competition from upcoming films like Ranveer Singh’s 83, Ajith Kumar’s Valimai, and many more.
