Zee Studios has dropped the trailer for its upcoming film ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ and its an emotional, modern, complicated love saga. Helmed by Anurag Kashyap, ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ will release in cinemas on 3rd February, 2023.
‘Almost Pyaar With Dj Mohabbat’ trailer begins with a hijab wearing short video maker wondering what is love and on the other hand is a popular DJ called DJ Mohabbat (Karan Mehta) coming to perform in a hill station. There he meets a cute girl (Alaya F) but seemingly ignores her.
But in actual he likes her and to keep it natural meets her in disguise and promises to take her to the concert for which she doesn’t have permission from family to attend. For this he even gets caught by police and ends up getting beaten in a police station. Meanwhile, it turns out the hijab clad young girl is this same girl who too is hiding her identity on social media.
It’s then that the young duo decides to run away from home and discover themselves. They also intend on finding love by not just looking for it but also being hungry for it. All of this isn’t without the societal prejudices, predatory behavior, homophobia and a total lack of unwillingness among the older generation to understand.
Written and directed by Anurag Kashyap, ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ stars Alaya F and Karan Mehta in lead roles. With music from Amit Trivedi, the film has cinematography from Sylvester Fonseca and editing by Konark Saxena.
‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ had its world premiere at the 19th Marrakech International Film Festival, 2022 and later Asian Premiere at the Hainan Island International Film Festival.
‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ is produced by Ranjan Singh, Akshay Thakker, Dhruv Jagasia, Kabir Ahuja and Ajay Rai. The production companies behind the film are Good Bad Films and Zee Studios. ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ will release in cinemas on 3rd February, 2023. Netflix is the official streaming partner for the film.
