Ever since Netflix’s Money Heist hit TV screens back in 2017, its lead star Álvaro Morte has lived and breathed the character. The Spanish star’s iconic El Profesor, or the Professor, in the crime drama has become the favorite character of millions of Money Heist fans across the world. The show too has garnered a huge global fan following. Money Heist craze among fans is to be seen to be believed.
As followers of the show will know, Money Heist is finally bidding adieu to Netflix today. This afternoon, the finale season, Money Heist Part 5 Vol 2, dropped on Netflix. To mark the streaming of the finale, its star Álvaro Morte posted an extremely emotional note on Instagram. He accompanied the post with a poignant picture of his character The Professor, aka Sergio, in a melancholic pose from the show.
The caption that Álvaro Morte wrote along with the post reads,
“My favorite superheroes were always Batman and Superman. Until I met you.
Thank you for everything.
Good bye, Sergio. Good bye, Professor.”
