Amazon Studios have confirmed developing a noir Spider-Man series. Binged informed its readers back in November 2022 that Sony has joined hands with Amazon Studios for developing multiple series on Marvel characters. You also might be aware that Sony holds the right over Marvel characters such as Spider-Man, Venom, and all the related characters.
Now, that partnership is blooming and we are finally getting promises that can be bloomed. We are talking about a live-action series based on Spider-Man that will be noir in every aspect.
The untitled series will follow an older, grizzled superhero in 1930s New York City. Some sources have claimed that the show will be set in its own universe and the main character will not be Peter Parker.
It is strange to even imagine a Spider-Man series where the lead character will not be Peter Parker. But we will have some faith in the project nonetheless.
However, if this project solidifies then it will be the second project of the Spider-Man universe being developed at Amazon. The first one will still remain “Silk: Spider Society“.
Sony has worked on multiple live-action films and is still involved in the making of a few. Stay tuned to Binged for more updates on the updates about the same.
