At a time when regional voices are getting more and more strong, it becomes increasingly important to go with the flow. Especially for businesses because they can’t sustain without the support of the common people. And every trend that is deemed powerful is powerful because it has the power of people.
Recently we have seen a rising demand for content and recognition of different languages. Perhaps that’s the reason we have very prominent OTT platforms like Hoichoi that cater to a very specific audience in the region of West Bengal and Bangladesh. Also, Bengalis all over the world enjoy content in their mother language by streaming Hoichoi.
Similar is the case with Tamil and Telugu. We have separate and prominent platforms like Aha that serve only the audience for those reasons.
But, more and more platforms are targeting that set of audience. Why? Because they have a more than welcoming number of people who can enjoy would love to enjoy that content.
Amazon’s miniTV, the free streaming service is adding 200 new shows just for these audiences.
The new shows cover a lot of different types of content. There are popular Indian originals like “Hunter- Tootega Nahi Todega,” “Physics Wallah,” “Rakshak- India’s Braves,” and “Highway Love.”
For fans of Hollywood movies, there are Tamil and Telugu versions of movies like “Twilight,” “Now You See Me,” and all the “Hunger Games” movies, the “Step Up” series, and “Red.”
miniTV is also bringing in shows from other countries like Korea, Turkey, and China, all dubbed in Tamil and Telugu.
Previously we have seen series like Gutar Gu, Crushed and more getting very good responses on Amazon miniTV. Let’s see the fate of these 200 shows in Tamil and Telugu.
