After a month from the release of “Saina” in the theatres, the movie is all set for global digital premiere. Amazon Prime , today announced that the movie will be coming to the streaming platform on the 23rd of April, which released in theatres on the 26th of March, 2021. Parineeti Chopra plays the titular role in the movie which is based on the life of ace Badminton player Saina Nehwal.
The makers of the movie seemingly have taken the required time, as the movie is coming to the platform after a 4-week theatrical release window. The movie along with Parineeti Chopra, stars Manav Kaul as Pullela Gopichand and Paresh Rawal in the role of Saina’s father and Meghna Malik.
As for Parineeti Chopra, she expressed her excitement on the movie coming to the streaming platform. She is excited for the world to see what the story of Saina Nehwal is and how she has gone on to become not only India’s but one of the world’s best and respected shuttlers.
The movie which tells the story of the ups and downs and career highs and lows of Nehwal, also focuses highly on the people that made Saina who she is today. This is the reason the role of Manav Kaul and Paresh Rawal is very pivotal to the entire story. As Pullela Gopichand has been her coach who has trained her relentlessly and Saina’s father who she always thanks as because he is someone without whom her dreams would never come true.
The makers especially producer Bhushan Kumar and director Amol Gupte have also expressed their happiness on the announcement of the movie coming to Amazon Prime Video for a global premiere as they too want people to see how the life of Saina can be inspiring and how people can learn from the experiences of her life.
