One of the most awaited web series in January for viewers had been Afsos, the series that was to stream on Amazon Prime Video from 17th January. But for some strange reason, the series did not release on the streaming platform, as originally planned.
Instead, a cryptic message showed up on Amazon Prime Video’s help centre, informing viewers that the series has been deferred until further notice owing to certain unforeseen circumstances.
There’s been no information forthcoming from Amazon Prime Video regarding a new release date for Afsos.
The deferring of the series has upset quite a few viewers who had been hoping to binge-watch the series during the weekend. Afsos had been much-talked about, due to its quirky premise and cast. Afsos had been touted as a black comedy and thriller drama series.
Headlined by Gulshan Devaiah and Anjali Patil, what made the series delectable was the inclusion of a raft of performers with a penchant for deadpan humour — the likes of Dhruv Sehgal, Jamie Alter, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Danish Sait and writer of Afsos, Anirban Dasgupta.
We, at Binged.com, are keeping our fingers crossed for an early solution to the glitches, whatever they are, so that Afsos drops on Amazon Prime Video soon.
