Just a few days back, the makers of the widely acclaimed animated superhero series ‘Invincible’ had promised an update about its eagerly anticipated second season in January 2023. And now, as per a recent interview with Amazon Studios’ Head of Television Vernon Sanders (via Collider), ‘Invincible Season-2’ will most definitely premiere on the OTT platform sometime in the year 2023.
Most likely, Amazon Prime Video will reveal the streaming date for ‘Invincible Season-2’ in January first week itself. And the show might even start streaming sometime in the first quarter of 2023. At least, that’s what we are hopeful for.
Created by Robert Kirkman of ‘The Walking Dead’ fame and based on the comic book series of the same name written, ‘Invincible’ became an instant hit when it was released on the OTT platform last year in March. Unsurprisingly, the show was renewed for second and third seasons just a few days later.
‘Invincible’ has gained a cult following since its release. This is evident from the fact that ‘Invincible’ Season-1 currently holds a highly impressive 98% critics’ score on reviews aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes beside having scored an IMDb user rating of 8.7/10. But some fans just had one complain: the quality of animation, which we think should drastically improve in the forthcoming seasons.
The basic plot of the ‘Invincible’ series revolves around a teenage boy named Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), whose superhero father Omni-Man (J.K Simmons) is the most powerful person on planet Earth. After Mark gains his own superpowers at 17, he struggles to transform himself into the titular superhero Invincible and live up to the name as he tries to balance his regular life along with achieving his superhero ambitions. But he gets the shock of his life after learning that he must save the world from an unlikely and undefeatable enemy. Stay tuned to Binged for the streaming date of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Invincible’ Season-2.
