Amazon Prime Video today dropped the first teaser of its much-awaited series ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’. The series is produced by Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment, and directed by Nikkhil Advani along with Nikhil Gonsalves. Mumbai Diaries 26/11 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on 9th September.
The teaser of Mumbai Diaries 26/11 busts speculation that it is yet another narrative that depicts the horrifying attack on Mumbai by heavily armed terrorists on 26th November 2008. On the contrary, Mumbai Diaries 26/11 shines a spotlight on a hitherto undocumented aspect of that harrowing time in the history of this vibrant city — the untold story of the faceless doctors, nurses, paramedics and hospital staff who worked tirelessly to save lives during the terror attacks that ravaged the city on November 26th, 2008.
In bringing alive the relentless struggle, grit and selfless commitment of the first responders to the wounded and traumatised, Mumbai Diaries 26/11 pays tribute to those braveheart frontline workers. The show stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrunmayee Deshpande & Prakash Belawadi in primary roles. The first teaser of Mumbai Diaries 26/11 doesn’t show done-to-death images of the Mumbai terror attacks. It shows rousing images of doctors, paramedics and other medical staff, as they grapple with the challenges of dealing with a crisis of massive proportions.
Mumbai Diaries 26/11 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from September 9th, 2021.
