As many of you guys may have noticed by now, ‘Bhramam’, the second remake of the hit Bollywood flick, ‘Andhadhun’ will be released directly for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in two weeks. Upon release, the Malayalam black comedy thriller will be released in less than a month before its predecessor-reboot, ‘Maestro’ – which was also released directly for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. Maestro is a shot-for-shot remake of Andhadhun and it has been receiving negative to mixed reviews for playing it safe. While many of us expect Bhramam to try out something new, this latest Unni Mukundan poster suggests that we are likely going to see another shot-for-shot remake again.
22nd September 2021 was Unni Mukundan’s birthday. The actor has a supporting role in the upcoming film, Bhramam and for his birthday, he got tagged to a Bhramam poster. While this is normal during a film’s promotion period – this poster suggested that Bhramam will follow in the footsteps of Maestro and will probably be a shot-for-shot remake. Check out this poster below:
As you guys can see, it is the shot of a man coming out of the toilet, while his phone is on loudspeaker. On the other side of the door is likely his wife, who is holding him at gunpoint. If you guys have seen Andhadhun or Maestro, you guys will know about the scene we are talking about. It is a funny sequence which happens during the second half of both films. If this part of the movie happens, we are fairly certain that we are going to be getting another South Indian shot-for-shot remake of the same hit Hindi film. And after the reception of Maestro, we are very sure that Bhramam will get even worse reviews than the Telugu remake.
The Prithviraj starring Bhramam is expected to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 7th 2021.
