Amazon To Cancel Netflix’s Stranger Things

Amazon Prime Video - NetflixThere is the series Stranger Things on Netflix and then are stranger things happening outside. Once again recently, Netflix was involved in a funny banter with a rival OTT platform that had nothing to do with it in the first place.

As many knows, a new series debuted recently called the Good Omens. It was an Amazon Prime exclusive. However, many mistook it to be a Netflix property and started an online petition against its cancellation. The people supposedly have not liked how biblical persons were projected in the series.

After numbers messages reached Netflix, it officially put a statement that it would not make Good Omens anymore. It was a fun jibe at its competitor, and the protestors had no clue about the platform. Soon, Amazon Prime gave a reply that it would cancel Stranger Things if Netflix stops Good Omens.

The original petitioners who wanted the Good Omens to be cancelled later realised the error and corrected the phrase which was used for demanding ban of the show, since.

A similar incident involving a funny banter between Netflix and Hotstar had happened locally in the recent past. It shows how alert the social media team of the respective platforms are and they don’t mind having a funny jibe at each other when the opportunity arises.
