Amazon Prime Video’s movie adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s 2019 novel, ‘Red, White & Royal Blue’, has locked a premiere date. The film will release on the streaming platform on August 11.
The movie’s leading duo will be Nicholas Galitzine (Cinderella) and Taylor Zakhar Perez (The Kissing Booth). They have shared some behind-the-scenes clips from the film’s sets on social media to generate hype for the upcoming Prime Video flick.
Red, White & Royal Blue revolves around Alex, whose mother is the first female president in the history of the US, making him the country’s First Son. Along with his friend, Nora and sister, June, he grabs the media’s attention after they start portraying him as the American equivalent of a young royal. An unfortunate incident at a royal wedding makes Britain’s Prince Henry an enemy of Alex. One of the newspapers publishes their tumultuous altercation at the wedding, making things difficult for Alex’s mother to protect her country’s relations with the UK.
Things take a dramatic turn after Alex and Henry are forced to establish a fake PR friendship to smooth the diplomatic relations between their countries. As time goes on, they both start having feelings for each other. Henry reveals he is gay, and Alex discloses his bisexuality sometime later.
Helmed by Matthew Lopez, Amazon’s movie adaptation of ‘Red, White & Royal Blue’ stars Nicholas Galitzine, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Sarah Shahi, Stephen Fry, Uma Thurman, Rachel Hilson, Ellie Bamber, Clifton Collins Jr, and many more. It will release on August 11 on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more updates.
