Amazon’s ‘Hello Charlie’ Is Gonna Leave You In Splits With Gorilla Stealing The Show!

By Binged Bureau - Mar 22, 2021 @ 01:03 pm

The trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming comedy film ‘Hello Charlie‘ is out and it’s all things hilarious. Directed by Pankaj Saraswat, ‘Hello Charlie’ will premiere globally only on Amazon Prime Video on 9th April, 2021.

Beginning with a plane crash and subsequent escape of a gorilla meant for a zoo, the trailer goes on to introduce the lead characters of the film. First is, M. D. Makwana (Jackie Shroff) who is hiding and planning to run away from Mumbai after defaulting on loans worth crores from the banks. On the other hand, we have Chiang Rastogi aka Charlie (Aadar Jain) who is coming to Mumbai with dreams to fulfill.

Makwana wanting to escape reaches out to a woman (Elnaaz Norouzi) and asks her to make arrangements for him to reach the coast of Diu from where he could then go to Dubai. The woman suggests him to dress up as gorilla, to which he agrees, and then appoints Charlie to deliver him. What follows is a laughter-filled sequence of events, with zoo officials trying to catch the real gorilla and meanwhile Charlie is on his journey to deliver the fake one without any knowledge of what he is doing.

There’s also a little love angle in ‘Hello Charlie’ when Charlie comes a across a girl (Shlokka Pandit) on his way and both soon start to develop a romantic connection. Amazon’s ‘Hello Charlie’ is filled with high doses of comedy, drama and everything fun.

‘Hello Charlie’ on Amazon Prime Video stars Aadar Jain, Jackie Shroff, Shlokka Pandit, Elnaaz Norouzi, Darshan Jariwalla, Rajpal Yadav, Girish Kulkarni, Bharat Ganeshpure and Siddhanth Kapoor. Director Pankaj Saraswat has also written the screenplay for the film presented by Amazon in association with Excel Entertainment.

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar have bankrolled ‘Hello Charlie’. Kassim Jagmagia serves as the film’s co-producer while Menaka Nagarajan is the executive producer.

‘Hello Charlie’ will start streaming only on Amazon Prime Video from 9th April, 2021 onwards.
