The teaser for ‘Chehre’, that brings together Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi together for the first time, is out now and this one sends quite a powerful message. Helmed by Rumy Jafry, ‘Chehre’ is a multi-starrer mystery-thriller film coming to cinemas on 9th April, 2021.
The black and grey toned teaser video features voiceovers from the film’s lead actors with a clock ticking constantly in the background accompanied with a melancholic music that sets a mysterious feel overall. The first voiceover is from Annu Kapoor who can be heard saying that there’s no one in this world who hasn’t ever committed any crime.
The next voices to be heard are that of Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan while their character stills from the film come alive on screen in bits and pieces of a collage. Emraan in a slightly anger filled tone says that in today’s world an honest person is one whose dishonesty has not caught while an innocent person is the one whose crime hasn’t been caught.
And lastly, one can hear Amitabh Bachchan’s powerful voice as he describes how our courts serve and deliver judgment and not justice. The whole teaser has an air of gravitas that makes it really intense and intriguing.
