Romantic films are the most loved yet most cringe genre of movies. We get bored of such films very easily as they have the tendency of following the same kind of fairy tale story. But, this is not the case with the film we are talking about.
We are discussing a highly off-beat romantic film called Photograph (2019). The film, before arriving in theaters, premiered in International film festivals. Naturally, it received highly positive responses but it had little to no impact on the theatrical business of the film. It was not at all a success financially but there is a beautiful thing with such films. They age really well and so is the case with Photograph.
The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui along with Sanya Malhotra in the lead role. Another important role is played by Farrukh Jaffar.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the role of Rafi. He is an aging man who lives with her grandmother Farrukh Jaffar. She is constantly forcing her grandson to get married who wants to live freely. He requests Sanya Malhotra to get a photograph with him. This way he will tell his grandmother that he is engaged and she will calm down.
What follows is very complex and beautiful at the same time. Photograph deserves all your attention and it is streaming on Prime Video.
