Ana De Armas, Jude Law Cast In Survival Thriller Origin Of Species!

Ana De Armas has been cast in a new survival thriller that will be directed by Ron Howard. The thriller has been named ‘Origin Of Species’, the stark resemblance of the title to the famous book by Charles Darwin makes us ponder over the subject matter of the film. If it is a period film, it may have parody elements and as it has been described by the makers… Origin Of Species will be a survival thriller tinged with dark comedy and eroticism. CAA Media Finance and Stuart Ford’s AGC Studios will be backing the production along with Ron Howard’s own production house Imagine Entertainment.

Apart from Ana De Armas, actors like Jude Law, Alicia Vikander, and Daniel Brühl have also been cast in the film. Noah Pink, who is famous for writing ‘Tetris’ is writing the script for the film. As far as we know, the film will be based on two accounts of the same true story.

The makers have described the film as “a darkly comic tale of murder and survival, set around a group of eclectic characters who abandon civilization for the Galapagos. They are all searching for the answer to that ever-pressing question that plagues us all: what is the meaning of life.”

Jude Law and Armas are Oscar nominees and Alicia Vikander is an Academy Award winning actress. Daniel Brühl has been nominated for the Golden Globes and Ron Howard himself is awarded with an Oscar for his film A Beautiful Mind. With Such a decorated team, Origin Of Species is bound to be something very big. For a director of such a wide range like Howard’s, it will be wonderful to see how he pulls of a survival thriller with such talented actors.
