Andrew Garfield & Claire Foy To Star In ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ Movie

Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy will lead the upcoming movie adaptation of Enid Blyton’s classic children novel series, The Magic Faraway Tree.

The story of ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ follows Tim and Polly and their kids, Joe, Fran, and Beth – a modern family who relocates to the remote English countryside. The children discover a large magical tree in an enchanted wood near their new house. They make friends with the locals and embark on fantastical journeys to magical lands that appear at the tree’s peak.

Two-time Emmy Award winner, Claire Foy, will portray Polly and two-time Academy Award nominee, Andrew Garfield, will take on the role of Tim.

The movie’s principal photography will commence in June this year. New additions to the film’s cast will be announced soon. The trio of Ashland Hill Media Finance, Elysian Film Group, and Neal Street Productions will produce the project.

Prominent screenwriter, Simon Farnaby, will pen the script for the upcoming adaptation. He is best known for his work in Paddington 2 and Wonka. Director Ben Gregory will help the movie, who has directed Fatherhood, Cuckoo, and Britannia. The film has been in development for many years.
