Another Film up for Direct OTT Release and This Time It’s a Scary One.

We often hear parents telling their children to be very careful when using the web. Well, they are right on many fronts but the use of technology ultimately determines whether it will be a boon or a bane. Cyber crime in our country is on the rise and has thus been a very attractive topic for filmmakers to consider. This time we have ‘UNLOCK – THE HAUNTED APP’ starring Hina Khan, Kushal Tandon, Aditi Arya and Rishabh Sinha in pivotal roles. This thriller-horror movie has been directed by Debatma Mandal.

The new Zee5 original horror film is a story where an app can grant you your deepest darkest wish. Isn’t that interesting? But there’s a catch, you have to complete three tasks the app asks you to do. The story revolves around Suhani who is afraid of losing the man of her dreams Amar, to her flatmate Riddhi. She has been over obsessed with him, to the extent of installing cameras in his house just to observe him. Suhani is ready to go to any length to be with Amar. And for that she takes help from an app off the deep web. But the app is not just any app, it is also supernatural in nature. A frightening hooded entity engulfed in diabolical smoke starts appearing in places where the app is being used, making sure the tasks are done right.
