The folks at Disney are certainly pros at hitting the sweetest spots when it comes to pleasing its vast multitude of fans. And the motley bunch stays at it even in the midst of the Coronavirus shutdown. Disney Animation’s star animator, Hyrum Osmond, who’s the animator of Olaf, the adorable Frozen snowman, has created a series of short animated videos featuring Olaf, working from home.
He’s also roped in Josh Gad, the actor who’s voiced the snowman, to give voice to the animated shorts. Gad also did the voice acting from the safety of his own home. The series is aptly titled, At Home With Olaf, as half the world practices stay-at-home measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The series came into being after Jennifer Lee, head of Disney Animation and the director of Frozen 1 and 2, took the initiative to create the animated videos to bring some joy, cheer and humour to millions of families stuck at home.
The first short video was released today, which has Olaf enjoying a spot of fun with a pile of snowballs.
The digital series is available to watch weekly on the social media handles of Josh Gad and @DisneyAnimation.
