The upcoming action thriller, ‘Antim: The Final Truth’, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar is all set for a theatrical release on 26th November, incidentally clashing with the much-awaited John Abraham starrer, ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’. Well, no prizes to guess which film had more hype when their release dates were announced. The ‘Satyameva Jayate’ sequel was leading by a great margin, despite ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ having a cameo by none other than Salman Khan. To combat this, the makers decided to extend Khan’s role in the film and apparently the strategy has worked wonders.
‘Antim: The Final Truth‘ was otherwise majorly touted to be an Aayush Sharma film, where he plays a gangster, whereas Khan essays the role of a policeman. It was reported recently that after seeing the final cut, Salman felt his role needed extending, to counter the other big ticket releases that would definitely garner more attention. However, post the extended cameo, the dynamics of the film has changed considerably. After the recently released motion poster dropped, ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ has been quite buzzing and is being looked at as a Salman Khan film by his fans.
For the unversed, ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ is produced by Salman Khan under his banner and features actor Aayush Sharma (of ‘Loveyatri’ fame and Khan’s brother in law) in the lead, alongwith southern actress Pragya Jaiswal and Salman Khan himself. The film is based on the 2018 Marathi film ‘Mulshi Pattern’ that chronicles the hardships faced by farmers and their links to the criminal world. Well, things are certainly looking better for ‘Antim: The Final Truth’ post the new strategy and it looks ready to give a tough fight to the John Abraham starrer. It’ll be interesting indeed to see the results of this clash.
