Anupam Kher is on an incredible journey of back to back films and Ravi Teja’s ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao is his next stop. Helmed by Vamsee, ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ marks Ravi Teja’s first pan India film and will release soon in theatres in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
Set in the 1970s, ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ is a biographical drama film based on the life of Tiger Nageswara Rao, a notorious and courageous thief of Staurtpuram.
While Anupam Kher is the latest to join Ravi Teja starring in and as ’Tiger Nageswara Rao’, the film’s cast also includes Nupur Sanon and Gayatri Bhardwaj. The national award winning veteran actor is set to play a prominent role in the film and his addition should serve well for it not only in the Hindi speaking market but also in the film’s overall credentials.
This boost is much needed given that Ravi Teja, a well known mass hero in the Telugu film industry who has given multiple hits throughout his career, has been facing a little rough patch recently. Apart from ‘Krack’ last year, the actor hasn’t had much success at the box office. Moreover, his last theatrical release ‘Khiladi’ was a commercial failure and the most recent one ‘Rama Rao On Duty’ too hasn’t been able to create much waves.
Written and directed by Vamsee (‘Dongaata’, ‘Kitty Unnadu Jagratha’, ‘Mrs. Subbalakshmi’), ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ is bankrolled by ‘The Kashmir Files’ producer Abhishek Agarwal under his banner Abhishek Agarwal Arts. R Madhie ISC is the cinematographer for the film with music from G. V. Prakash Kumar.
Sharing the news with the audience the makers revealed a picture featuring spectacled Anupam Kher sitting at one end of a big dining table and studying some documents. The whole look has a vintage feel with an intense vibe. Check it out
