Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s latest directorial feature ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ is now coming to Netflix in just a few days, post its underwhelming theatrical run.
A romantic comedy drama, ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ is about two unrequited love stories, burdened by social status, caste, religion, and inequality are breathlessly, heading on, towards each other. While in one case a girl in London likes a boy way too much, in a parallel universe exists a boy that likes a girl. The film follows these two tragic love stories joined by one musical and uncanny coincidence.
Written and directed by Anurag Kashyap, ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ stars Alaya F and Karan Mehta in lead roles. With music from Amit Trivedi, the film has cinematography from Sylvester Fonseca and editing by Konark Saxena.
‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ had its world premiere at the 19th Marrakech International Film Festival, 2022 and later went to the Hainan Island International Film Festival for its Asian premiere.
‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ is produced by Ranjan Singh, Akshay Thakker, Dhruv Jagasia, Kabir Ahuja and Ajay Rai. The production companies behind the film are Good Bad Films and Zee Studios. ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ will have its digital premiere on Netflix on 31st March, 2023.
