Anushka Sharma along with her brother Karnesh Ssharma had established Clean Slate Filmz back in 2013 and now in 2022 the actress has decided to step away from the producer’s chair and dedicate her time to her first love, acting.
The actress shared a note on social media wherein she tells about how Clean Slate Filmz came into being and the purpose behind it. She says about how proud she is of the company’s achievements and she also talks handling work life balance given that she is a new mother and how she is wants to spare more time for acting.
In the note she said, “When I started Clean Slate Film with my brother Karnesh Ssharma, we were novices when it came to production but we had a fire in our belly and we wanted to try and set the agenda of entertainment in India through clutter-breaking content. Today, when I look back at our journey so far, I’m deeply proud of what we have created and the disruption that we have managed to achieve. While CSF started with my vision to change the narrative of what commercial projects should be like, I have to credit Karnesh who has excelled in shaping what CSF has become today.”
Citing her reason to leave Clean Slate Filmz she further said, “Being a new mother who has chosen to be an actor by profession, I have to balance mv life in an entirely new fashion like never before. So, I have decided that whatever time I have at hand, will dedicate it to my first love, acting! Therefore, I have decided to step away from CSF, confident that the most able person, Karnesh, is taking forward the vision with which it was created in the first place.”
The actress is confident that her brother will take the company they both created to greater heights and that she will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for both her brother and the company. She also hopes to be part of future clutter-breaking projects produced by CSF.

It’s upcoming projects include Netflix series ‘Mai’, about a middle-aged women fighting crime starring Sakshi Tanwar and another Netflix film ‘Qala’ which will mark the debut of Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan alongside Tripti Dimri.
