Anyone But You is turning into no one but you as both faces from Sony’s hit R-rated comedy will be interested in working together again. Are they the next Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, or Julia Roberts and George Clooney? At least the recent updates state that.
Now, though Sony is unable to crack the code for superhero films or CBMs, they certainly managed to cook up something delicious in comedy.
But the hit pair’s recent statement clarifies that it isn’t the end for Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell.
Powell stated, “When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun. We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got. You know we’re here for it. It’s been really wonderful to read a lot.”
“Sydney reads everything, by the way, and in record time. She’s the fastest reader I think I’ve ever met. It takes me a little longer, but we’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.”
Amidst all of this, fans eagerly anticipate Powell’s upcoming action film “Twisters” this summer. Initially linked to “Top Gun: Maverick” director Joseph Kosinski, Powell collaborated with Mark L. Smith on the script. Ultimately, Lee Isaac Chung, known for “Minari,” assumed directorial duties.
Powell praised co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones, highlighting their chemistry. He described the film’s texture, fun, and world as thrilling, with Spielberg’s and Nolan’s effects teams on board. Filming in Oklahoma involves elaborate sets and destruction, promising a spectacular experience.
On the other hand, Sweeney is dealing with the collateral damage from Madame Web; fans did show their love for her, as no negative reviews contained Sweeney. It will be an exciting moment for fans to revisit the chemistry between Powell and Sweeney.
