Applause Ent, Vikramaditya Motwane Join Hands For 2 Epic Series!

Applause Entertainment, one of India’s most successful and prolific content production company, is joining hands with stellar filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane’s Andolan Films to bring two compelling stories to our screens. The news was shared this afternoon by Applause Entertainment on its social media handles.

The storytelling powerhouses will collaborate on two gripping series – ‘Indi(r)a’s Emergency’, which is a 3-part docu-series on the Emergency of 1975; and ‘Black Warrant’, a drama series based on the book of the same name, which will document untold stories from the confines of Tihar Jail. Black Warrant is written by former Tihar jailer, Sunil Kumar Gupta, in the form of his memoirs from his time at Tihar Jail.

Applause Entertainment posted on Twitter this afternoon,

Not that he wasn’t so earlier, but Jubilee’s success has rekindled interest in Vikramaditya Motwane’s formidable talent for Indian content creators. There’s no information on the cast and crew of both series yet, and also no announcement on whether Vikramaditya Motwane will direct either of the two series. We also do not have any information on the OTT platforms that will host the two shows.
