Apple TV+ Drops ‘Strange Planet’ Animated Series Trailer

Apple TV+ has dropped the trailer of its upcoming adult animated sci-fi series, Strange Planet, scheduled to premiere on the streaming service on August 9.

Based on popular Nathan W. Pyle’s webcomic, Strange Planet series has been developed by ‘Rick and Morty’ creator Dan Harmon, who has also served as one of the show’s executive producers. New episodes will come out weekly.

According to Apple, the forthcoming animated series is “a hilarious and perceptive look at a distant world not unlike our own. Set in a whimsical world of cotton candy pinks and purples, relatable blue beings explore the absurdity of everyday human traditions.” It is a joint production of Apple Studios, Harmonious Claptrap, and ShadowMachine.

The show’s voice cast consists of Tunde Adebimpe, Demi Adejuyigbe, Lori Tan Chinn, Danny Pudi, Hannah Einbinder, and other talents. Apple TV+ greenlit the animated series in June 2021.

Releasing on August 9, Apple TV+’s Strange Planet will drop its season finale on September 27. Stay tuned for more updates.
