Apple TV+ Drops Trailer For ‘Hollywood Con Queen’ Docuseries!

Apple TV+ has another potential hit in the making. Having recently released multiple anticipated titles, the streamer has numerous more to come. One of them being a three-part docuseries about a film industry scam of great magnitude.

Infamously known as the ‘Hollywood Con Queen’, an anonymous scammer lured hundreds of industry gig workers to fake film and TV productions in Indonesia. Filmmaker Chris Smith’s docuseries aims to quantify the staggering impact of the fraudster who preyed on a multitude of industry hopefuls from across the globe as it drops on May 8.

Pretending to be big industry names like Amy Pascal, Deborah Snyder, and Kathleen Kennedy, the mysterious female voice dangled the promise of life-changing career opportunities in Southeast Asia before exploiting those who jumped at them.

The 108-second teaser details anecdotes of how the international con artist successfully convinced a plethora of actors, writers, makeup artists, assistants, and more to fly to Indonesia for productions that didn’t exist. It delves deep into the series of incidents that caused people to exhaust their life savings, ranging from a few thousand dollars to even millions!
