Apple TV+ has placed a straight-to-series order for a new high-profile limited series ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ with Oscar winning actress Julia Roberts set to star and executive produce the show.
‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ is based on an upcoming novel by Laura Dave that is scheduled to be published by Simon & Schuster on May 4 next year. This latest Apple TV+ original will be co-produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Disney’s 20th Television.
Dave along with her Academy Award winning husband Josh Singer (‘Spotlight’, ‘First Man’) have created ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ that follows the story of a woman (Roberts) who forms an unexpected relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter while searching for the truth about her husband’s mysterious disappearance.
Apple TV+’s ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ will be executive produced by Dave and Singer alongside Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter via Hello Sunshine; and Roberts, Marisa Yeres Gill and Lisa Gillan via their Red Om Films banner.
The release date for ‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ is yet to be revealed by Apple TV+.
