Apple TV+ Holding Well In The Competition, But There Is A Catch

Apple’s streaming platform Apple TV+ has come out with its quarterly report and subscription details. It might come as a surprise given the less talk and visible dullness surrounding it, but the platform is doing well, it seems.

Apple TV+ bowed into the market on November 1st. It came with no pre-loaded content and is relying heavily on original content. The same is also presented in different ways. Some are weekly whereas a few come for the binge, for a more substantial part. Irrespective of the way they come, the series or movie star big names. Or else are backed by them.

However, there is a catch here, and that will determine the future course of the streaming service from Apple. A lot of these subscribers seems to have come from the free one-year subscription offered by Apple when the people buy one of its product.

Siddartha Toleti: Perennially besotted with movies, I can’t imagine a day going by without watching one. Passion led to film reviews. The evolution has brought me on the digital platform. Alternatively, I love listening to music from the golden era of Hindi cinema, and Maestro Ilaiyaraja.
