Apple TV Plus Gets Bigger – Snares Idris Elba!

Idris Elba, the actor, musician, director and producer known for his roles in ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’, ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’, ‘Beasts of No Nation’ and even ‘The Wire’ is taking his talent for producing both series and feature films with Apple for its streaming service ‘Apple TV Plus’.

This deal will be under his ‘Green Door Pictures’ production company that he founded in 2013 aims at diversifying, representing and creating inclusion in society through his stories.

The work contributed through this company includes comedy “In The Long Run,” created by and featuring Elba as part of an ensemble cast, “Turn Up Charlie”, short-form shows “The Idris Takeover” and “5×5”. He has also recently produced Ricky Staub’s ‘Concrete Cowboy’.

Elba joins a long list of star collaborations with ‘Apple’ such as Oprah Winfrey, Alfonso Cuarón, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Justin Lin, Simon Kinberg and Sharon Horgan among others.

Well we hope to see the multitalented Elba to tell his stories in such meaningful partnerships.
