Apple TV Plus has just dropped the first trailer for its upcoming limited series, ‘Masters Of The Air’. The World War II drama premieres on Apple TV Plus on 26th January, 2024.
The first trailer for ‘Masters Of The Air’ is rousing and uplifting, as it gives hints of the story to follow. Austin Butler plays the primary protagonist in the series, along with actors Callum Turner, Barry Keoghan, Anthony Boyle, Rafferty Law, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook and Ncuti Gatwa. The Masters Of The Air trailer gives us glimpses of each of these actors. The primary focus, though, remains on Austin Butler’s lead character.
Masters Of The Air comes from the same team that has created the seminal shows ‘Band Of Brothers’ and ‘The Pacific’, namely Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman. The series is adapted from Lafayette professor Donald L. Miller’s 2006 book ‘Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany’.
The nine-episode limited series will recount the true story of the American Eighth Air Force during World War II, whose team members were fondly called the ‘Bomber Boys’. The bomber group ‘American Eighth Air Force’ was assembled in the wake of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 941. The series is a salute to the brave men, whose courage and brotherhood helped defeat Nazi Germany in World War II.
