Apple TV To Bring John Lennon Murder Docuseries Soon

More than just a name, John Lennon is a phenomenon. He was not only one of the most important cultural icons but also an integral part of the Beatles. Now, Apple TV is embarking on the endeavor of creating a docuseries about the murder of John Lennon.

The docuseries, titled ‘John Lennon: Murder Without a Trial,’ will be narrated by Kiefer Sutherland and divided into three parts.

This documentary is being hailed as a fresh perspective on Lennon’s 1980 murder. It is said to have exclusive access to crucial sources, including the New York City Police Department.

“Murder Without a Trial” offers a unique view of the events surrounding Lennon’s death, featuring exclusive eyewitness interviews and previously unseen crime scene photos. It delves into the motivations of his killer, Mark David Chapman, through conversations with defense lawyers, psychiatrists, prosecutors, and detectives.

Directed by Nick Holt and Rob Coldstream, the docuseries was produced for Apple TV+ by 72 Films. Such documentaries are typical for Netflix as they specialize in crime documentaries. But a documentary of this caliber, especially on someone like John Lennon, will be a sensation on Apple TV+.

This release coincides with the exciting news of what’s billed as the last Beatles song, “Now and Then,” featuring contributions from all four legendary members of the band. A significant and emotional moment for fans and music history enthusiasts, this release is set for November 2, making it a must-watch and listen for all Beatles and John Lennon enthusiasts.
