Apple TV+ Unveils Release Date & First Look For Egerton’s Smoke

We’ve received some important updates about the upcoming Apple TV+ series Smoke, starring Taron Egerton, including first-look images and the official release date.

Created by Dennis Lehane, Smoke is inspired by true events and follows troubled detective Michell Calderon (played by Jurnee Smollett) and arson investigator Dave Gudsen (Taron Egerton) as they track down a pair of serial arsonists.

Apple TV+ will launch the nine-episode series worldwide on Friday, June 27, with the first two episodes. A new episode will then be released every Friday until August 8.

In addition to Egerton and Smollett, the cast includes Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Rafe Spall, Hannah Emily Anderson, Adina Porter, Anna Chlumsky, John Leguizamo, and Greg Kinnear.

This fictional series draws inspiration from truth.media’s highly praised Firebug podcast. The podcast was hosted by Oscar and Emmy winner Kary Antholis, who also serves as an executive producer for Crime Story Media, LLC, on the series. Emmy winner Marc Smerling is also an executive producer through Truth Podcasting Corp.
