Apple TV+ has unveiled the official teaser of Martin Scorsese’s highly anticipated film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ and its surreally captivating. ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ will have its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival later this week followed by theatrical release on 6th October, 2023 and global digital debut on Apple TV+ on 20th October, 2023.
‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ teaser traces the origin of the Osages and how they were exploited by White men. The setting of the teaser not just engrosses the viewers but is also intriguing in tone.
At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder.
As per Apple TV+, based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.
In addition to DiCaprio and Gladstone, ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ also stars Robert De Niro and Jesse Plemons in prominent roles. The film is directed by Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by Eric Roth and Scorsese and is based on David Grann’s bestselling book.
Apple Studios has produced ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ alongside Imperative Entertainment, Sikelia Productions and Appian Way. The producers backing the film are Martin Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Daniel Lupi. Among the executive producers there are Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Adam Somner, Marianne Bower, Lisa Frechette, John Atwood, Shea Kammer and Niels Juul.
‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ will release in theatres worldwide on 6th October, 2023 and will start streaming on Apple TV+ from 20th October, 2023.
