Apple TV Will Follow Netflix In The Price Hike

The cost of Apple is rising, and this time, we’re not just talking about the phones. In the race for price hikes, all companies are getting in on the trend, with Apple not staying far behind.

Netflix recently increased its prices, and as expected, other platforms are likely to follow suit. Just as Apple TV has improved its user experience and content, they’ve hit users with a price hike.

However, Apple’s price hikes aren’t limited to its streaming service; they are observing a significant increase across the board. Previously, it cost $6.99 per month, but now it’s increased by 43% to $9.99.

In terms of annual prices, there’s also a hike, going from $69 to $99. Entertainment is becoming more expensive. This is the second price hike for Apple TV, following the first adjustment made last year in October, when it went from $4.99 to $6.99.

These price changes also affect Apple One’s three tiers:

– Individual: $19.95 (previously $16.95)

– Family: $25.95 (previously $22.95)

– Premier: $37.95 (previously $32.95)

There hasn’t been any official announcement regarding a price hike in India, where the price remains relatively low at ₹99.

The streaming platform now hosts some of the most popular titles, such as ‘Ted Lasso,’ ‘For All Mankind,’ and ‘The Afterparty.’ With the service announcing a ‘Holiday Slate,’ it’s an exciting time to consider subscribing. And with no official announcement of a price hike in India, this could be seen as a golden opportunity.

In terms of justification, the recent expansion and plethora of title acquisitions made a price hike expected. Additionally, they are not introducing an ad-supported plan or alternative, which further justifies the price increase.
