A massive spin-off for Godzilla has been announced by AppleTV+. It will be a web series and is titled ‘Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters‘. The series belongs to Legendary’s Monsterverse and it will be the first live-action series of the franchise.
There will be ten episodes in total in ‘Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters’. The platform also revealed some photos featuring the actors in it. The series stars many well known actors like Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, Elisa Lasowski and many others.
‘Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters’ will tell the story of two siblings who try to track the footsteps of their father and try to find their family connection to an ancient order named ‘Monarch’. The story goes on for three generations and the siblings find army officer Lee Shaw who is closely associated with the proceedings in the Monsterverse.
Matt Shakman, who is well-known for Wandavision, is directing the first two episodes of the show. The Monsterverse started with the 2014 film Godzilla, 2017 film Kong: Skull Island and continued to Godzilla vs. Kong. There will be a much anticipated sequel named Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, that will come out in 2024.
The Monsterverse coming too OTT is a great news for fans as they will be able to have a whole new experience to watch a detailed show on the same.
