Apple is one of the biggest companies in terms of consumer technology. The company creates waves every year with the launch of iPhones and other products. But what about AppleTV?
Well, the platform certainly has one of the best contents one can probably stream. Severance, Presumed Innocent, Silo, Hijack and more. Even for films, it has the Oscar winner CODA, then Killers of the Flower Moon and more.
With the branding of Apple and content like this, it is easy to assume that AppleTV must be having a great time. But, it can’t be farther from reality. The condition of AppleTV is really bad.
Just to give you an idea, the views generated by AppleTV in a “month” are less than what Netflix does in a single “day”.
Yes, a day at Netflix is bigger than a month at AppleTV and it is alarming for the platform. Ever since its launch, AppleTV has invested a massive $20 Billion in its content but the audience somehow did not reciprocate that interest. Today’s other important headline states that each episode of Severance will cost $20 Million, which makes it one of the most expensive shows ever made. We are not sure as to how exactly this cost-cutting would work with such huge budget allocations to Severance but let’s see how it comes out to be.
