AR Murugadoss Says Hello to Bollywood After 18 Years!

This Tamil director is all set for a comeback! After a hiatus post the Superstar Rajnikanth’s 2020 film ‘Darbar,’ AR Murugadoss is all set for ‘roll, camera, action!’ and will be teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan for an action-packed thriller ‘SK23.’ The pre-production for this new venture, produced by Sri Lakshmi Movies, is in full swing now, with shooting set to commence in April 2024.

Guess Murugadoss is eyeing for something bigger. Breaking an almost 8-year absence, Murugadoss is set to come back to Bollywood silver screens. AR Murugadoss previously directed Hindi remakes of his movies ‘Ghajni’ and ‘Thuppaki’ featuring Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar, respectively.

The buzz going around the cinephiles is that Murugadoss is set to collaborate with Salman Khan for a high budget action extravaganza, and this will be produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Reports have it that the film’s budget is around whooping 400 crores, and will be aiming for an Eid release in 2025.

The untitled action thriller will be filmed in Portugal and various European countries, along with select scenes shot in India. And yes, this biggie will be released after ‘SK23.’ Along with Salman Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala will also join this collaboration. The ambitious project, a brainchild of Sajid Nadiadwala, gained momentum after meetings earlier this year, solidifying its status as a priority among all the scripts considered.

AR Murugadoss-Salman Khan duo was last seen back in ‘Ghajini’ in 2006, and this collaboration is a thing of celebration, considering a long-awaited reunion after 18 years.
