Archer has been going for 10 seasons and for all the fans of the series, the wait for the 11th season is almost over as Netflix is releasing its 11th season on the platform this coming Friday. Archer is a mess up and stumbles his way through most of his missions, yet his determination to be there is what counts.
The latest season of Archer brings us to Archer, who has woken up after spending three years in a coma and sadly discovered the fact that the world has moved on even without him. Archer is your typical deadpan dark comedy, or you could say a comedy of errors done by the main lead wherein his heart isn’t always harbouring bad intentions.
It is witty and at times hints at the toxic masculinity that is portrayed in many of the male lead characters. It is basically a character study of someone so eager to show the world that he is of importance and not just another cog in the wheel of the universe.
Though there have been several such Adult animations shows like BoJack Horseman and Rick and Morty that try to give us an in-depth understanding about the fallacies of life and how they get ruined by it, but Archer predates most of them with its very first season releasing 10 years ago back in 2010.
Though it may not have gained the kind of following that one can see for shows like BoJack and Rick and Morty its steady growth and renewal for another season shows that animations have no longer been restricted to shows that are only for kids.
