Kangana Ranaut is a very influential actress who can’t be ignored no matter what. She is a phenomenally talented actress who has given strong performances in some films like Queen, Fashion and more. However, she is infamous due to her overly aggressive personality that attacks anyone and everyone.
Her decline started after the controversy with Hrithik Roshan. She has tried to make several films after that but her controversies made much more noise than her films.
Anyway, her latest film is Emergency. The movie was released after a lot of controversies and delays. There was a lot of politics around the film and that caused it to move several dates before it could finally get released.
So, Kangana Ranaut. A firebrand politician from the Indian right wing released a film on Indira Gandhi’s infamous imposition of Emergency.
What was the result?
Disaster.
People ignored the film just like they ignored several films of Kangana Ranaut in the recent past. However, the OTT release has been kinder on the film.
Released very recently on Netflix India, the film is getting applauds for the portrayal of Ms Gandhi by Ranaut.
The movie is not winning hearts per se but the interest of people in the film on OTT is much greater than that of the big screens.
Even Kangana Ranaut acknowledged that she could have gotten a far better deal on OTT than waiting for the big screens. So Kangana Ranaut might be happy at the slightly better response than the big screens.
@KanganaTeam just watched your movie #Emergency on @NetflixIndia ... I loved the movie and you deserve credit and rewards for portraying the strong character of Mrs. Indira Gandhi ji... "Indira is India and India is Indira"

Watching #emergency on @NetflixIndia after theatrical watch.#KanganaRanaut stands out as both actor and director. The film is well-crafted & well-acted. Takes skill, guts and absolute mastery over the craft to come up with something like this and #kanganaranaut does have it all.
