Indian actor Arjun Kapoor, who was last seen in the horror-comedy movie ‘Bhoot Police’ has earlier today, announced his next film project titled ‘The Ladykiller’.
The actor took to Twitter to make the announcement and his post was marked with the words “Isme Thrill hai. Romance Hai. Emotion Hai. Suspense Hai !!! Presenting to you, #TheLadykiller. A thrilling, nerve-racking love story & my most ambitious film yet.” Arjun Kapoor also shared the first look photo with an interesting tagline “Mistrust makes a snake bite its own tale.”
‘The Ladykiller’ will be directed by Ajay Bahl, who had previously helmed the riveting courtroom drama ‘Section 375’ (2019) starring Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, and Rahul Bhatt in the lead roles. Ajay Bahl had made his directorial debut in the year 2012 with the critically acclaimed erotic thriller ‘B.A. Pass’.
Although not much is currently known about the precise plot of this romantic-thriller, suspense-drama film ‘The Ladykiller’, Arjun Kapoor will ostensibly essay the titular role of small-town playboy (as the name suggests) who falls in love with a troubled but beautiful woman. There should certainly be a good reason regarding why Arjun Kapoor has called it his most ambitious film yet.
Besides ‘The Ladykiller’, Arjun Kapoor’s forthcoming projects include Mohit Suri’s thriller ‘Ek Villain Returns’ co-starring John Abraham, and Aasmaan Bhardwaj’s ‘Kuttey’ starring Naseeruddin Shah, Tabu, Radhika Madan, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Kumud Mishra, amongst others.
Arjun Kapoor, who had made a promising debut in Habib Faisal’s ‘Ishaqzaade’ alongside Parineeti Chopra, had starred in two more films namely ‘Sardar Ka Grandson’, and ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ besides the most recent ‘Bhoot Police’ in the year 2021 itself. ‘The Ladykiller’ will be Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Shaailesh R Singh, and Krishan Kumar.
