Netflix and Zack Snyder – Surely a Deadly Combo! And this is well-established now after the release of the grand trailer for Army of the Dead by Netflix. Because the trailer itself promises to take the audiences on a crazy ride.
A few days back, when Zack Snyder revealed the first look of Army of the Dead, it felt like just another zombie movie but with this new super-intense trailer, Snyder just changed the game.
The trailer of Army of the Dead features a lot of new and bizarre surprises such as smart zombies, fast zombies; but the most bizarre of them all, a zombie tiger.
I mean, taking the most ferocious animal on earth and transforming it into a more deadly brainless creature – what exactly Zack Snyder was thinking? Anyways, whatever it may be, it looks pretty bad-ass in the trailer with the new concept of super-smart & ridiculously fast zombies.
But, Indian audiences also have something to be delighted and surprised about. We get a blink-and-you-miss-it first look of Huma Qureshi as Geeta who will be seen alongside Dave Bautista in Army of the Dead.
Army of the Dead is reportedly a post-apocalyptic zombie heist movie where a band of mercenaries get a contract to retrieve $200 million from a secret vault from Zombie-filled Las Vegas within a deadline of 32 hours.
Apart from Bautista and Qureshi, Army of the Dead’s features an ensemble cast with Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer, Samantha Win, Theo Rossi, and Hiroyuki Sanada with Zack Snyder donning the director’s hat.
Though, Army of the Dead is scheduled to premiere on Netflix and in select theaters on May 21, 2021, we also hear that the film will be getting a prequel movie and an anime series at Netflix. The prequel and the series is said to follow the origins of Bautista’s Scott Ward and other characters of the film and that is adding more spices to the mixture!
